Artist-run aceartinc. is dedicated to the development, exhibition and dissemination of contemporary art by cultural producers. aceartinc. was established nearly 30 years ago by a group of committed young artists determined to take a chance and create something new in the life of the Winnipeg art community. In these years, there have been hundreds of exhibitions and events, artist lectures, performances, partnerships and members.

A fun family destination! Housed in the oldest surviving train repair facility in Manitoba, the Children’s Museum features 12 permanent galleries that spark creative learning. Visitors can hop aboard an authentic 1952 diesel locomotive and 1910 Pullman passenger coach, explore the five-storey tall Lasagna Lookout, test their perceptions in the giant Illusion Tunnel, perform water experiments in the Splash Lab, and much more. A toddler-exclusive space, Tot Spot serves the needs of the museum’s smallest visitors.

Graffiti Gallery is part of Graffiti Art Programming Inc., a not-for-profit community youth art organization located in the core area of Winnipeg. It uses art as a tool for community development, social change, and individual growth. The gallery hosts community urban art exhibits by local, Canadian and international artists. The satellite gallery located at The Skate Plaza at The Forks features an additional six panels without the restriction of operating hours. The st.Art Program offers free after-school and summer programming for children and youth. Every visit to Graffiti Gallery is unique; the walls are an evolving urban canvas.

Stand inside the oldest building in Winnipeg, and the largest oak log structure in North America. The museum showcases objects related to the heritage of French-Canadian and Métis peoples. Located in the original Grey Nuns Convent this museum also boasts the largest collection of Louis Riel artifacts in the country.

History unfolds before your eyes at this restored 19th-century fort where costumed staff recreate the 1850s in the Red River Valley. Come and meet the governor of the Hudson’s Bay Company as he strolls through his garden, barter with the company clerk, sit in a teepee and listen to the whispers of ancient legends.

The Manitoba Legislative Building, erected in 1913-20, is a monumental reinforced concrete, steel and stone structure on a formal landscaped site between Broadway and the Assiniboine River in downtown Winnipeg. The provincial designation applies to the three-storey building and the grounds it occupies.

The Manitoba Museum is an award-winning heritage and science centre welcoming thousands of visitors each year. Winner of the Michelin Green Guide's top award - designated "Worth the Trip," the Museum features an ever-changing variety of touring and specialty exhibits.

The Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame celebrates and showcases sport excellence and achievement in Manitoba. The decade galleries of sport will walk you through time. You'll see artifacts and memories of Manitoba's rich sport history, like the AVCO Cup and Clara Hughes' bike from the '96 Olympics. Be inspired by our province's sport heroes.

Mayberry Fine Art is located in a restored heritage building a block from Portage and Main, in the heart of Winnipeg’s historic Exchange District. Representing over 30 leading contemporary artists from across Canada, the gallery features an amazing selection of paintings and sculpture displayed in over 6000 sq. ft. of gallery space. With more than 40 years experience in the art market, Mayberry Fine Art also offers expertise in important historic Canadian art of the 19th and 20th centuries.

The Royal Canadian Mint’s Winnipeg facility produces billions of coins each year. This is where ALL Canadian circulation coins are made, as well as those for up to 75 countries all around the world. The 45-minute guided tour, overlooks the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility revealing the precise art and science of coin-making! The adjacent interactive coin museum involves the visitor in unique learning activities including the ability to strike your own coin and the opportunity to lift and hold a pure gold bar worth over $700,000.

Seven Oaks House Museum is a civic museum in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The two-storey log dwelling is designated a Provincial Heritage Site, and a Winnipeg Landmark Heritage Structure. Seven Oaks House is one of the oldest surviving residences in Manitoba and one of a handful of log buildings remaining that give a picture of life at Red River during the 1800s. The historic site is unusual in Winnipeg as the building still sits on its original foundations, and much of the surrounding homestead remains un-developed.

The Seven Oaks Monument is a memorial for the Battle of Seven Oaks. The Manitoba Historical Society erected an obelisk monument in 1891 commemorating the battle at the intersection of Main Street and Rupertsland Boulevard in the Winnipeg district of West Kildonan, the approximate centre of the battle site. The site was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1920.

The original cathedral, built in 1908, was destroyed by fire in 1968. The remaining walls were incorporated into the design of the new church, creating a dramatic facade facing west across the Red River towards downtown Winnipeg.

The Transcona Museum works to preserve and promote the community spirit of Transcona through, our history and stories for the benefit of all. Exhibits rotate annually, and feature the highlights of our extensive collection of artifacts, photographs and archival records that together tell the story of Transcona.

The Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Winnipeg is the Ukrainian Greek Catholic archeparchy (Eastern Catholic archdiocese) for the Catholics who practice the Byzantine Rite in the Ukrainian language in Manitoba.

Urban Shaman Contemporary Aboriginal Art is a nationally recognized leader in Aboriginal arts programming and one of the foremost venues and voices for Aboriginal art in Canada. The focus is on developing new programming and new presentations of indigenous art, which has resulted in increased exposure and the expansion in activities.

A l’Epi de Ble is a taste of France in sweet Winnipeg. A couple straight from the homeland will teach you the language of butter, cream and chocolate ganache. As one of Winnipeg’s more recent additions to the niche bakery industry, L’Épi de blé delivers the French patisserie experience without the expensive flight to France.

Get outside, get active and head to A Maze in Corn Amusement Farm where there’s something for all ages.
